MANILA, Philippines — Some P6.8 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) were confiscated from a 23-year-old suspect during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Saturday. NCRPO in a report identified the suspect as Jose John Colinares, alias “John,” a resident of Macabebe, Pampanga. ADVERTISEMENTMembers of Quezon City Police District’s Cubao Police Station led the buy-bust operation against Colinares along Aurora Boulevard near corner Cambridge Street in Barangay E. Rodriguez, Cubao, at 8 p.m. Friday, according to NCRPO. Colinares was apprehended after he sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover law enforcer. Also seized from the suspect during the drug sting were paper bags, 10 pieces of fake P1,000-bill, a cellphone, and the P1,000-marked money, NCRPO also said.
