A farm-to-market road initiative under the Support to Barangay Development Program of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict worth more than P27 million broke ground in President Roxas town of North Cotabato on Thursday. Cotabato Gov. Nancy Catamco stated in her message that the municipality of President Roxas is most fortunate since it hosts the first groundbreaking ceremony of infrastructure projects for conflict-affected villages in the province. The villages also received P20 million each from the national government after being declared clear and free from insurgency. The P20-million cash assistance will be utilized by the villages to construct infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects such as road concreting, water system installation, electrification and livelihood projects.
