Robert Corpuz, provincial disaster risk reduction management (PDRRM) officer, said the evacuation center is an eight-room, two-story building with 67 beds in its infirmary section. Corpuz said the DPWH had already inspected the facility and declared the project as completed and would soon be turned over to the provincial government. It was the provincial government which proposed the construction of the evacuation center to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. “The center is meant to address the need for an evacuation center in the province and in support of the nationwide disaster risk reduction management program,” Corpuz said.
