In a statement, the Department of Agriculture (DA) said the RCEF is now in motion with the release of P2.5 billion for two of its component programs. RCEF is the tariff collected from imported rice and is supposed to help rice farmers become competitive and more productive. Just recently, Dar has created DA’s National Program Coordinating Team (DA-NPCT), which will ensure the integration of RCEF program components. With this, farmers will be assured that the RCEF is now ready to roll to help them increase their productivity and income.
