PHOTO COURTESY FROM PNP WEBSITEFULLY grown cannabis plants with an estimated value of P192.9 million were uprooted and destroyed by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police (PNP) operatives in the municipality of Tinglayan in Kalinga on Thursday and Friday. A total of 18 clandestine marijuana farm sites with a combined land area of 7.1 hectares were raided. Ronald Lee, regional director for the Cordillera Administrative Region, said the 18 marijuana plantation sites were located in Mount Chumanchil in Barangay Loccong, and Sitio Ballay Tulgao in Tinglayan. Also seized in the operations were 52.2 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves and stalks and 14 bottles of cannabis oil. The raiding teams destroyed and burned the uprooted marijuana plants on site.
