The P16.47-million tax evasion case against Jaime Napoles, husband of pork barrel scam principal suspect Janet Lim-Napoles, will continue. This, as the Court of Tax Appeals upheld the decision of its Third Division in dismissing Mr. Napoles’ motion, which sought to quash the lawsuit against him over National Internal Revenue Code violations. Mr. Napoles’ motion to quash was denied by the Tax Court’s Third Division as well as his motion for reconsideration. Mr. Napoles was accused of failing to file his income tax returns for the years 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012. He allegedly declared an income of “P0.00” in the Income Tax Return he filed in 2009.
