Share TweetBy Ariel FernandezBureau of Customs (BOC) operatives and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents intercepted a package containing kush marijuana worth P1.8 million at the Central Mail Exchange Center [CMEC] of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Friday. Suspect Joseph Marck Tamo was apprehended after he came to claim the package containing the 1.05-kilogram kush. Customs district collector Carmelita Talusan said upon inspection, the package yielded vacuum-sealed plastic pouches containing the high-grade marijuana. Tamo was arrested after claiming the package and charged with violation of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) and R.A. 10863 (Customs Modernization and Tariff Act).
