GOVERNOR Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has been called upon to lift the ban on the state branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). Chairman of the union, Alhaji Abideen Olajide (aka Ejiogbe), made the appeal in a statement issued on Tuesday and made available to Tribune Online. ALSO READ:He also enjoined the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji (Ajeogungunniso I) to help to appeal to Governor Makinde to lift the ban on NURTW. He commended the NURTW national president, Alhaji Najeem Yaasin, for his efforts to restore normalcy to the state chapter of the union. As part of the peace process, he said, “Alhaji Yaasin invited me and forms Oyo NURTW stalwart, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi (aka Auxiliary).
