The Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board has reiterated its commitment to the welfare of retirees from both public primary schools and local government. The Permanent Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Lukman Akinola Muraina, stated this Wednesday during an interactive meeting with prospective retiree teachers at the conference hall, secretariat, Ibadan. Muriana gave kudos to the state governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, for the payment of workers’ and pensioners salaries on the 25th of every month, among other welfare packages. “We don’t want anything that will tarnish the image of the governor of Oyo State. We discovered that some agents and touts are collecting money from prospective retirees, especially at the local government education authority level.
