Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his 80th birthday, describing him as an iconic leader whose impact will remain indelible in the memory of Nigerians. Oyebanji described the president as a global icon of integrity in leadership, transparency in the management of his nation’s resources and an anti-corruption champion. Likewise, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of the State of Delta, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, joined in congratulating the President. Oyebanji said that President Buhari has worked hard to manage a complex and heterogeneous country like Nigeria and has shown through his words and actions that he is still irrevocably committed to its unity and indivisibility. Oyebanji added that President Buhari has etched his name in the country’s annals for his legacies in infrastructure, social and economic reforms and for overseeing a cleaner and more credible electoral process where the votes of the electorate count.
