Oxford made 2,812 offers to applicants from Surrey, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Kent and Buckinghamshire from 2010-15 and 2,619 to the whole of the north. Cambridge made 2,953 offers to applicants from Hertfordshire, Surrey, Kent and Oxfordshire and 2,619 to the whole of the north. Half of Oxford’s offers went to applicants from London and the South East; 11 per cent went to applicants from the Midlands, 15 per cent to those in the northwest, northeast, Yorkshire & the Humber and 3 per cent to those in Wales.
