Oxford Uni staff 'sent threats' after students remove 'colonial' Queen from common room

They agreed to get rid of the picture from their common room because she "represents recent colonial history," it has been reported. Barrister Dinah Rose, president of the Oxford institution, defended students' right to "free speech and political debate". Members of the Magdalen College Middle Common Room, which is made up of graduate students, overwhelmingly voted to remove the picture from their common room.
