Overnight fire destroys cooling towerNewsDuration 0:33An overnight fire destroyed an unused cooling tower in an east Edmonton industrial area. In the early hours of July 2, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services worked to contain the fire and keep it from spreading to nearby grasslands. At one point, eight crews were working on the blaze, including pumper trucks due to a lack of hydrants in the area. The tower was owned by chemical manufacturing company Celanese Canada. No injuries have been reported.
