Wellingtonians now have data to back up our bummer summer gripe: Sunshine hours were down while wind and rain were up. But as Lewis Ferris from MetService puts it, overcast days were the theme of summer in Wellington so-far. At the Kelburn station sunshine hours for December and January were 93 per cent of normal, compared to summers dating back to 1928.
