Over 50 pro-Azimio university student leaders drawn various universities have been arrested in Nairobi as they addressed a meeting at the Central Business District. The student leaders, affiliated to Movement for Defense of Democracy, were arrested at Chester House where they were holding a Press conference. They were taken to the Central Police Station in Nairobi. The arrests come hot on the heels of a letter by Azimo leadership to Officer Commanding Station, Central Police Station Nairobi notifying him of Monday’s mass action. Let them not be disturbed by the propaganda, we are going to protect everyone's business," Raila said.
