Over 45 Million Birr Pledged to Help Rubbish Dump VictimsMarch 17, 2017 - Donation for rehabilitating victims of the rubbish landslide here in the capital city has gained momentum, according to ENA. Among the 3 organizations that extended assistance today, MIDROC sister companies contributed forty million birr. Oromia Regional Government donated 5 million birr and Ethiopian Full Gospel Church 150,000 birr. They further expressed their commitment to stand with the government in all its efforts to rehabilitate the victims. The Qoshe landfill has been a dumping ground for the capital's rubbish for more than 50 years and the rubbish landslide has reportedly killed 113 so far.
