Nearly 350 people have sought medical treatment on Eid day after sustaining injuries either while cutting meat for sacrifice or by being kicked by cows in the capital Dhaka and surrounding districts. Dhaka Medical College Hospital, or DMCH, and the National Orthopaedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Institute, or NITOR, have revealed these statistics. Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated across Bangladesh on Monday, when Muslims sacrificed animals on this day in the hope of pleasing Allah according to their means. “Some were injured by sharp knives or cleavers, suffering cuts to fingers or hands, while others were injured by cow horns and had broken legs. Almost all of the nearly 350 people received first-aid treatment and left the hospitals.
