Over 120 Nigerians kidnapped in 6 days as country descends to hell

The 76-year old Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has dismissed calls that he should step aside because of the collapsing economy and the mass killings taking place under his leadership. But many are now wondering whether anything good can still come from his administration only months to a presidential election in February. Between Friday last week and Thursday this week, at least 120 Nigerians have been kidnapped along the Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highway in North Central Nigeria. Reports from the West African country said the kidnappers dressed in military fatigue and armed with assault rifles were already making contacts with relatives for ransoms raging from $15000 and above. On Tuesday, at least four villages were raided by the gunmen in the same region, dozens of people were killed while houses were torches.
