"Greenhouse gas emissions are still rapidly rising, with increasingly damaging effects on the Earth's climate. The world population "must be stabilized -- and, ideally, gradually reduced," the scientists write. Still, the scientists end on a somewhat more upbeat note, citing recent actions taken by goverments and activists.
