The jackets, which weigh between 2.7 and 13lb, are supposed to calm down hyperactive children and keep them in their seats. (Image: DPA)The vests, which cost between £124 and £150, are currently being used by 200 schools across Germany. Parent Barbara Truller-Voigt has a nine-year-old son, Frederick, who occasionally wears a 2kg sand vest to treat his ADHD.
