Pledging to hold a free and fair election, Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin says the Election Commission has ‘good intentions.’“Be assured that our intentions are good. I can say confidently that there’ll be a good election,” he told the media following the swearing-in of the election regulator by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed at the Supreme Court Judge’s Lounge on Sunday, bdnews24.com reports. With the cooperation of everyone, we’ll give a free, fair and credible election to the nation,” the CEC said. The CEC said the Election Commission would be advised on where the reforms were needed, as a reform commission was there to guide the EC. Earlier, the Nasir-led Election Commission took their oaths of office from the chief justice.
