According to him, the NPP must focus on regaining the trust and confidence of the electorate, particularly first-time voters. “The bigger challenge is how to win back the love and the trust of the average Ghanaian,” Oppong Nkrumah stated. Oppong Nkrumah emphasised that the party is not under any illusion that unity alone would be sufficient. He also stated that reforms in policy development is a key part of the reset, noting that recent constitutional amendments have established a policy secretariat within the party. “For the first time, we’ve set up a policy secretariat by constitutional fiat in the party,” he explained.
