On Kumasi-based Angel FM, the Chief Executive, Osei Assibey Antwi said the demolition has become imperative following the erection of several unauthorized structures within the city without recourse to directives by authorities. He disclosed that the backing was not only coming from the Manhyia Palace but His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II implying that failure by the assembly to enforce its own actions offends the King as well. The exercise will see to it that, all traders doing business on pavements along the principal streets and unauthorized places are cleared. According to Mr Assibey, Kumasi as it stands sits on a time bomb, indicating that there is the need to safeguard all individuals in the metropolis against a looming disasters.
