The wife of the governor of Abia State, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, has said she is now better informed and equipped on positive ways of eradicating sexual and gender-based violence, SGBV, in the society. Otti stated this at the on-going 4th Annual Conference of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum, NGSF, holding at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, to mark the 16 days of activism on sexual and gender-based violence. In her address, the chairperson of the forum, and wife of the governor of Kwara State, Professor Olufolake Abdulrazak, said that it is time to engage youth allies in building generations to end gender-based violence. This compact, she explained, “outlines priority actions to enhance birth registration, enforcing legal frameworks, and improving access to quality health services. It is also a commitment to collaborate for change led by the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum, government agencies, civil society organizations, and communities to combat violence.”
