This week begins with a special weather statement for Ottawa-Gatineau calling for freezing rain on Tuesday. Periods of freezing rain or rain begin very early in the morning with an east wind at 20 kilometres per hour after midnight. The low will reach –2 C with the temperature reaching zero C by morning. Environment Canada expects to issue a freezing rain warning later on Monday, which will detail how the freezing rain is expected to last until midday Tuesday. The freezing rain should turn into rain on Tuesday afternoon with an east wind at 20, gusting to 40 km/h.
