Ottawa police have charged a 33-year-old man with impaired driving offences after a fatal crash on Highway 174 Saturday evening that claimed the life of a 71-year-old man and seriously injured a 33-year-old woman. A 30-year-old man driving the Mazda suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. One count of impaired driving causing death. One count of impaired driving causing bodily harm. The eastbound lane of the highway was closed after the crash and re-opened around 7 a.m. Sunday.
