The federal government is hosting two “National Summits” on anti-Semitism and Islamophobia in a bid to “figure out and negotiate (their) timetables for action.”The National Summit on anti-Semitism will be hosted on July 21, and the National Summit on Islamophobia on July 22, diversity and inclusion minister Bardish Chagger said in a statement released Friday. “These summits will bring together a diverse group of community and political leaders, academics, activists, and members with intersectional identities within these communities,” Chagger said. “We don’t need a summit to know (about Islamophobia), we see this happening in our news.
