The expansion Ottawa Blackjacks should receive a fine “how do you do?” when they make their Canadian Elite Basketball League debut in less than six months. The BlackJacks will play their first game in the seven-team league on May 7 against the Niagara River Lions, who in 2019 finished atop the regular-season standings with a 15-5 record. The BlackJacks’ 20-game schedule, released Tuesday, will conclude with an Aug. 1 home game against Hamilton. Ottawa’s home games will be played Thursday nights (five), Saturday nights (two) and Sunday afternoons (three). Flex and voucher packs, group tickets and single game tickets are expected to go on sale in early 2020.
