Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, on Saturday disclosed that MKO Abiola International Airport concessioned late last year for over N60 billion to a private consultancy firm, identified as AWOL International Limited has failed. Fielding questions from journalists in the early hours of Saturday during Ogbeni Till Day Break, an interactive session with the media and members of the pubic, Aregbesola declared “simply put, concessionaire of MKO Abiola International Airport in Ido-Osun has failed”. While commenting on the domestic and international debt profile of Osun State, he also hinted that total figure put at N173 billion last year had reduced to N153 billion from the loan payments made so far by his administration.
