Osinbajo helicopter crash: Aviation experts fault security arrangement around VP

AS investigation into the cause of the helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to a campaign rally in Kogi State which crash landed in Kabba five days ago continues, a non-governmental body in the country’s aviation sector had expressed worries over the management of security around the VP. “We are deeply concerned about the management of security of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is embarrassing to see the Vice President being flown by a foreign pilot whether contracted or chartered in a Nigerian Police helicopter as noticed in previous flight during these campaign seasons. The Agusta AW139 helicopter owned and operated by Caverton Helicopters with registration number 5N CML crash landed in Kabba, Kogi State with the Vice President and eleven other occupants on board. The VP and the other passengers on board miraculously escaped unhurt.
