The other day, the media reported that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, seeking a ceasefire, apologised and promised a swift reform action following the #EndSARS protests. To whom is our Vice President apologising? Did Osinbajo itemise the infractions and omissions for which he, his boss and the entire political and leadership class are apparently expressing mea culpa? A report of this incident in another newspaper spoke of Prof Osinbajo also calling for trust building and healing. The rest of the judicial panel can then proceed at the usual slow pace.
