(File photo)An Air Force Orion has landed safely at Whenuapai air base after one of its four engines was shut down. A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman confirmed the plane landed safely at 7.20pm. Air Force Rescue Fire, and Fire and Emergency NZ crews responded to the incident as "standard practice". In June, a C-130 Hercules circled the air base due to landing gear issues.
