Original Luke Skywalker Lightsaber sells for more than half a millionSupplied Mark Hamill starred as Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy. An original lightsaber used by Mark Hamill has sold at auction for US$450,000 (NZ$615,000) reports The Hollywood Reporter. The Luke Skywalker prop used in Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back was sold to the Ripley company. The prop originally belonged to Gary Kurtz who worked as a producer on the first two Star Wars films.
