Police in Beaverton, Ohio found bones believed to be a local woman’s a day after her son was arrested for abuse of a corpse. Officers responded to a welfare check request of 57-year-old Katherine McDowell at her home Monday, Fox 12 Oregon reported. Beavertown Police Department officers spoke with McDowell’s daughter, who requested the welfare check, and McDowell’s son, Matthew Gutierrez. Gutierrez reportedly told police that he burned his mother’s body in a fire pit in their backyard. Click here for more from Fox 12 Oregon.
