An Oregon man was in custody hours after he pulled up next to a police vehicle early Friday and fired several shots inside, striking one officer, authorities said. The Salem Police Department said detectives were in a vehicle around 3:20 a.m. after conducting an investigation when another vehicle pulled up alongside, a police news release said.
