OMAHA -- The Beatrice baseball season came to an end Monday with a 3-2 loss to Lincoln Northwest in an elimination game at Papillion-LaVista South. Austin Baldwin pitched four innings, giving up no runs on two hits while striking out five and walking none. Waverly jumped out to a 5-0 lead early with two runs in the first inning and three more runs in the second inning. Trevin Lang pitched 3.2 innings, giving up three earned runs on three hits while striking out four and walking three. Gage Wolter pitched 1.1 innings, giving up no runs on no hits while striking out one and walking one.
