Opposition questions alleged issuance of Kenyan passport to Sudan rebel leader

WiperWiper Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka speaking in Nyamache, Kisii County on Wednesday/HandoutWiper Patriotic Front (WPF) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has questioned President William Ruto’s administration over reports that a Sudanese rebel leader is holding a Kenyan passport. Kalonzo said the alleged issuance of Kenyan travel documents to militia leaders could hurt Kenya’s image abroad and raise national security concerns. His remarks followed reports that a senior Sudanese militia figure recently sanctioned by the United States is listed as holding a Kenyan passport. “Now the Ruto government is issuing passports to militia leaders from Sudan and thus jeopardising relationships with friendly countries. “Our tea has lost a huge market in Sudan after the Ruto administration started dealing with militia leaders,” Kalonzo said.
