Patrick Odey, UyoAkwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel on Wednesday claimed the Peoples Democratic Party’s main opposition party was plotting to take over control of the state by force in the forthcoming general elections. The ruling PDP is locked in a fierce battle with the All Progressives Congress to retain control of the state. Speaking during a solemn assembly at Ibom Hall, Emmanuel wondered why leaders who had benefited from the state could strike a deal to mortgage the future of the younger ones for political gains.
