Anxiety has gripped some opposition politicians in Kogi state as the state government has allegedly acquired equipment to disrupt telecommunications services to make it impossible to communicate during the coming elections. A credible source informed that the All Progressive Congress (APC) government in the state has procured three network jammers, mounted on two Toyota SUVs and a BMW vehicle for this purpose. The vehicles are said to have been parked within the premises of Government House, Lokoja. It was also learnt that the government has equally acquired telephone lines from MTN South Africa, to enable its officials to communicate on election day, having disabled communication by the mass of voters on election day. “For as long as there is an election on February 16, Kogites have resolved that they will vote for Atiku Abubakar,” he said.
