A potential national settlement deal with big U.S. drug distribution companies has raised hopes that help could be on the way in places like opioid-ravaged West VirginiaHUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Crumbling roofs and parking lots. The priority list for Prestera Center goes beyond the mental health and addiction treatment services it provides to patients throughout West Virginia. Prestera employs 550 workers at 55 locations in southern West Virginia and provides services to more than 20,000 people annually. There are addiction recovery centers, mental health treatment facilities, youth programs and suicide awareness initiatives, to name a few. That’s where hope that settlement money, whether from the newly announced deal or some other one, trickles down to the ground level.
