They connect via Bluetooth, which is fine, but every time Bluetooth connects/disconnects from the speakers, it makes a LOUD ding-dong alert sound, which I find rather annoying. I looked on Dayton’s website and didn’t find a mention of disabling or lowering the volume of the connection chime. I’ve also experienced a tone or chime when I connect to various Bluetooth speakers from my computer or my phone. The manual for the specific speakers states the user should expect to hear the chime when the speakers connect. But that’s a lot to ask to remember to turn down the volume every time you turn off the computer.
