The operators of a fishing boat that sank off Banks Peninsula in 2015, killing three crew members, have been ordered to pay more than $700,000 to the victims’ families, Maritime NZ has announced. Maritime NZ filed charges against the boat’s operators, Ocean Fisheries Ltd, under the Health and Safety in Employment Act (1992).
