THE Federation of Associations of Private Schools and Administrators (FAPSA) clarified that the June opening of classes was just an option and should not be taken as an official policy. Fapsa made the clarification after netizens accused private schools as “greedy and after [the] profit” after announcing that they would open classes this coming June. The school opening, whether in June or September, is an option,” FAPSA President Eleazardo Kasilag said. He said having 52 Saturdays of classes was not an option, especially during the summer because of the heat, which might lead to many absences. But he noted that he would push through with a June opening via tablet education for his institution, St. Nicholas School in Marikina City.
