OpenAI has signed Ireland’s Charter for Digital Inclusion, supporting the Government’s drive to raise awareness and promote inclusive use of digital technology. The charter forms part of the department’s efforts to advance digital literacy, foster equitable access to emerging technologies, and strengthen Ireland’s position as a leader in ethical and inclusive digital innovation. "Ireland's Charter for Digital Inclusion represents our commitment to ensuring that technology serves everyone in our society. Digital inclusion is not just an aspiration, it is a necessity for our economic and social progress," said Ms Smyth. OpenAI signed up to commitments one to five, which focus on investing in staff upskilling and inclusive workplaces, embedding digital inclusion criteria into products and corporate policies, and delivering Government-facing programmes under the OpenAI for Countries initiative.
