In a groundbreaking move aimed at expanding access to higher education, the Open University of Kenya has launched its doors to 173,000 candidates who sat the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination. Under the visionary leadership of President William Ruto, the Open University of Kenya becomes the 42nd public university in the country and aims to bridge the gap in IT-related education. Additionally, the institution will also provide two graduate degree programs in leadership and accountability and learning design and teaching. Notably, the Open University's focus on leveraging technology to facilitate education delivery is set to revolutionize access to higher education.
