Open Road beckons for Colombian's Nelson journeyLUZ ZUNIGA/ STUFF Oscar Munoz is well on his way to success after learning to drive with Open Road. Now that he can drive, Oscar Munoz's journey to integrate into New Zealand life just got a whole lot easier. Munoz learned to drive through the Open Road programme, which matches mentors with former refugees who would like to learn to drive. "We've visited lakes, mountains and beaches, everything around Nelson is so beautiful." Keen to get stuck into his new life, Munoz volunteered in the community, volunteering at the Brook Sanctuary, the SPCA and helping elderly people in their gardens.
