That’s a portentous way to say hello, I know, but I wanted to get right to the point. We’re doing business in a way that is destroying our middle class and creating enormous inequalities of wealth. We are all born with unique physical traits, and we grow into individuals with vastly different sets of abilities. Most Americans have simply given up on the most precious hope any of us can have: to become better at what they do in order to build a better life for themselves. What I found in America, more than half a century ago, is rarely to be found in our country today.
