Ontario pharmacies have administered more than one million COVID-19 vaccines across the province. Justin Bates, CEO of the Ontario Pharmacists Association confirmed the figure in a tweet Wednesday, adding that number will keep rising. Phase 2 & 3 pharmacies will receive vaccine to meet the 12 week eligibility mark” Bates added in a tweet. Ontario has administered 139,901 vaccine doses since its last daily update, with 9,342,121 vaccines given in total as of 8 p.m. the previous night. That works out to approximately 58.1 per cent of the total population and the equivalent of 71.9 per cent of the adult population.
