Author­ity holds consul­tative sessio­n with milk indust­ry repres­entati­vesLAHORE: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Director General Noorul Amin Mengal has said pasteurising was only solution to eliminate the sale of unpacked milk and its adulteration. PFA seals bakery, discards food, adulterated milkRepresentatives from milk industry, farmer association, packaging industry and experts participated in the meeting. Mengal said complete elimination of adulteration in milk was not possible until intense vigilance on sale of unpacked milk. He said the PFA has passed the pasteurising law and sale of unpacked milk would be completely banned within a time span of five years. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pasha said implementation of pasteurisation law was not difficult if key stakeholders play their part.
