A female candidate to the House of Representatives on the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Mrs Maria Ude-Nwachi, has promised qualitative and effective representation to her constituents, if elected in 2019. Ude-Nwachi said that the primary concern by people seeking political power should be how to use such position to enhance good governance and better the living condition of the ordinary people. According to her, political power should not be for personal enrichment but to offer service to ensure quality life for the people. Ude-Nwachi assured that she could do more if given the mandate to represent the people in the House of Representatives. The female legislator, the only opposition member in the 24-member Ebonyi House of Assembly, expressed confidence that her party would win the House of Representatives seat for the Afikpo North /Afikpo South Federal Constituency.
